PDFCraft is here

PDFCraft started as an internal utility. We were merging, stamping and compressing documents dozens of times a week, and every existing option involved either a licence key or an upload queue. So we built the thing we wanted: a fast, free, browser-based PDF toolkit with no account and no file uploads.

What PDFCraft is

A growing collection of focused PDF tools that run entirely in your browser. You open a page, add a file, do one thing well, and download the result. There is no dashboard, no onboarding flow and no trial period.

Why we built it this way

No uploads

Modern browsers can parse and rewrite PDFs directly. Once that is true, uploading a file to a server is an unnecessary risk and an unnecessary wait. Our tools read your file locally, change it in memory, and write it back to your device.

No accounts

Rotating a scanned page should not require an email address. Anything you save — such as a reusable stamp — lives in your own browser storage, and you can export it as a JSON backup whenever you like.

Mobile first

Documents arrive on phones. Every tool is designed for touch first and scales up to desktop, rather than the other way round. We wrote about the design consequences in Mobile-first PDF editing.

What is available today

AI tools such as Chat with PDF and summarisation are clearly marked Coming Soon in the toolkit, and our thinking on them is set out in AI and PDF: what comes next.

The flagship: the Stamp Creator

The tool we use most is the one we needed most. The Custom PDF Stamp Creator lets you design text, date and time stamps with control over font, size, weight, colour, borders, shape, opacity and rotation, then drag them precisely onto any page.

Mistakes we have learned to avoid

• Building one giant tool instead of several focused ones — people arrive with a single task in mind.
• Hiding the important control behind a settings menu.
• Adding a feature because competitors have it, rather than because it is used.
• Making the mobile layout an afterthought.

What comes next
